Having lived in Asia, I think East Asians and Caucasians have different beauty and specifically face shape standards. Whereas to a local Chinese Canadian Hazel may have a darker complexion and stronger features as opposed to classic “delicate” Asian beauty, Caucasians may find her look more bold and maybe even more international. The Lucy Liu example is a good one, as some might find her face to be large and features quite bold, whereas I found her to be gorgeous when she was a young woman.
