Because the receptionist is the first person a client sees when he goes in the door. Even if she isn't an SP, he may form a first impression of what the SP's who work there are like. (Of course, there are a lot of posters who remarked in BBC reviews, that Anna, one of the long-time receptionists, looked like she could easily be one of the SP's there. So it can get confusing.[:)] )
