Loan Sharks?

avatar BabyBelle 2004-11-07 21:14

Hey, I was wondering if any of you out there loan money.. I'm not asking for free money.. I'm asking to borrow. I will pay back.. Right now, money is extremely tight, and I'm 7 days late for rent.. and the bills are due soon as well.. Work's been very sparse, and I find myself in financial dire straits.. If anyone would be willing to lend me some money, please let me know.. Thank you muchly, Sarah

The reason why I'm asking *people*, is because I don't qualify for those.

How much do you need and how long till its paid back?

avatar BabyBelle 2004-11-08 05:26

There is no cycle, paige. I'm not just asking for a handout here, and I made that clear to begin with. It's not a matter of I dont know how to handle money, or manage my finances.. it's a matter of.. there is just not enough work for me! I am very careful with my money, and frankly I'm not too impressed that you would accuse me of otherwise.. you don't even know me. I take all the work I can get, but I simply don't get enough. Things were fine for a while there.. I was able to pay my rent, my bills.. everything.. But work slowed down, and that's the only reason I'm having this trouble. NOT because I'm spending frivolously, or ANYTHING of the sort. How much do I need? Rent is 700, and bills are 150. I am trying to get as much work as I can right now.. but there's not much more I can do.. it's really slow.. But I will pay back as soon as humanly possible. I always pay back my debts as soon as I can. I'm not just some immature lowlife who doesn't know how to handle money. Again, Paige.. I'm apalled that you'd make assumptions like that about me. If you can't help, please don't flame me or bother me. This was a simple request. Thanks.

BabyBelle said: The reason why I'm asking *people*, is because I don't qualify for those. Click to expand... Pawn shops provide a great service for people such as escorts, who generally don't have a steady or verifiable source of income. You give them some of your valuable (and saleable) goods - such as jewellery, electronics or musical instruments - as collateral for a cash loan. You then have a pre-determined period of time - usually about 30 days - to pay back the cash, and they will return your goods safe and sound. If you find yourself unable to pay back the loan, no problem - they sell the goods and the cash is yours to keep. On another note, you may also find it helpful to take up some sort of part-time work beyond escorting. Perhaps waitressing or bartending, or even working in a retail store. You will find that it can be quite reassuring to have a guaranteed stream of income so that your basic needs can always be met even when the escorting business is slow. As well, having a verifiable income allows you to qualify for things like bank loans and lines of credit, which you can rely on in case of emergency.

All she needs is a chequing account for collaterial. I'm not saying I'm going to lend her the money, but if I did, it would require a post dated cheque, id, drivers license, and current address. If the cheque bounces, then you have something to sue for[;)]

Somebody organize it. Need an address to send it to.

Babybelle... a suggestion to improve business I'd have called you for an appointment a few times but you're only available by email. I rarely have the luxury of being able to know my schedule days or weeks ahead and would try to hookup with you if I could get you by phone with less than 24 hours notice. Often, I hookup with about an hour's notice, and that's where having a phone would be invaluable. Just a suggestion, hope your financial woes ease. Cheers LATY

avatar BabyBelle 2004-11-08 14:04

I never do short notice, let alone use the phone.. it's just not my style.. I'm often busy and need at least a day's notice.. And the phone thing.. I dont use the phone because of some problems with .. well.. stalker-ish people. I just don't answer the phone anymore.. or use it for business.

BabyBelle I agree with livingATY. I have several times called you for an appointment, only to get your voice mail with directions to use e-mail. I simple dont have time to sit around and wait for a reply. I have always in the past moved on to another sp, with whom I could talk and set up an appointment. You might want to re-think this strategy. Just a friendly suggestion.

Get a pager. Living in fear of something you can't control is letting the thing you can't control, control you.

SALES is the oldest profession in the world. Many will argue with me and say prostitution is the oldest, but really that is just a sub section of sales. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I know the problem is today and the rent is late and an eviction notice is on the way, but the problem runs much deeper than that. You need to brush up on your sales skills. I have chatted with you a few times in the old Perb Chat with the thoughts of possibly seeing you. I have to say your attitude turned me off and I eliminated the possibility of me being your client. Paige has offered to help you. Instead of going off on her and saying poor me & you don't understand my situation, you should take her up on a very generous offer and listen. You can blame anything you want for your current situation.... your location, your clients, your weight, your parents... the list goes on. But the simple truth is most things in life are a direct result of past decisions. Insanity is described as doing the same thing over and over again expecting a different result. It is time for you to take stock of what assets you have and exploit them. Focus on the positive and ignore the negative. There are plenty of pooners in Surrey (just ask Angel how her business is going) There are also plenty of pooners who LOVE larger women (use it to your advantage... What size bra did you say you wear???) If you want to earn a living at your current profession then DO IT! Have a "My rent is late sale" $XX.XX for a 1/2 hour or what ever. Then while the client is there treat him right, make him want to come back again Get over this hurdle... Then GO TALK TO PAIGE!!!! She has a few things figured out Sarah, I am saying all of this with the absolute best intentions Jodie said: "Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. If you're not getting any business, maybe the laws of supply and demand apply here? I think we all know that service providers are as busy as they want to be. If the price is lower, more people come. If it's too low for you, but too high for the guys, who do you think loses out? Many of the women here have early morning specials, nooners, quicky specials, etc because they want the business. Sometimes if you don't bend, you starve. There are a lot of smoking hot women out there who do what they gotta do at times to pay the bills. I'm thinking if you aren't getting the business to pay your bills, then you have to keep lowering your prices until you get some business or take some of these people up on their offers/advice. I don't know this Paige person, but my take was that she offered you advice, not insult. If you took it as such, maybe you need to explore why what she said struck such a bad nerve with you? On the other side of things, if a pooner told you that he wanted to be with you but had no money, but promised to pay you as soon as he could, would you indulge him?
